Vista del Sol, the currently upperclassmen-only apartment complex on the southwestern corner of Rural Road and Apache Boulevard, will officially become part of ASU housing beginning Fall , officials said.
Vista del Sol general manager Veronica Cava confirmed in an email ASU will take over operations for the complex beginning in August, after all existing leases expire. Those wishing to live in the complex for the school year must apply through the housing selection process in the MyHousing section of MyASU, Cava said.
Industrial engineering senior Benigna Lima Pereira said while the change will not affect her, she thinks making people move out of their apartments hurts the people who already live there. Vista residents wishing to continue living in the complex will be entered into a room selection lottery for the next school year in the first week of March, Cava said.
The one and two bedroom units at Vista Del Sol are spacious and comfortable. The kitchens are all equipped with modern appliances, including dishwashers, continuous cleaning ovens, and frost free refrigerators. The kitchen also has a pantry and bedrooms have walk-in closets which is very convenient for residents. Residents who choose to live at the pet friendly community of Vista Del Sol will enjoy the large swimming pool at the complex as well as the large barbecuing area.
Many apartments have views of the pool. Residents will also have access to high speed Internet. To become a resident at the complex, income must equal to or in excess of three times the rent.
